Due to downed power outages, downed power lines and fallen debris in our community, the Watkins Glen Central School District will operate on a 2-hour delay today 1.10.24.
All Athletic activities are cancelled & the Fitness Center will be closed this evening.
WGCSD will not operate after school activities today, 1.9.2024. This includes all athletic practices, events, and the fitness center. The MyPlace Learning Program will remain open for regular hours. Thank you for understanding and stay safe WG!

Congratulations to Class of 2024 senior, Ryan Willett! Last evening signing his confirmation to become an Alfred State College Pioneer playing football. Friends, Family and the Football & wrestling teams came together for his signing. Ryan in the past two seasons gained 1,686 rushing yards and 338 receiving yards, scored 18 rushing touchdowns and intercepted 10 passes for the Schuyler Storm varsity football team.
Moments like these make us #WGProud and excited that the Watkins Glen Athletic programs and molding great student athletes.

CALLING RECENTLY GRADUATED ALUMNI
We would like to invite recently graduated WGHS Alumni to join our speaker panel, who will discuss their future direction and/or path after graduating high school. We are looking for alumni that would be willing to share their after-high-school experiences and career path chosen with our Junior & Senior students, to help show them opportunities and possible new adventures that can happen after high school . Whether you went to a trade school, joined the work force right after graduating, went into the military, or went to college we would like to showcase these experiences for the SOON to become graduates of 2024 and 2025.

The District's Food Service Department will be bringing a NYS farm fresh menu to our students on January 11th. In support of the Farm to School program, locally grown food will be hitting the trays! Lunches will be made with NY products such as ground beef for homemade chili, juice & milk, seasoned potatoes, apple sauce & Cornbread.
Please make note we shifted the Hall of Fame Inductions to approximately a 5:00 PM start. It will be held during the Boys basketball tournament consolation round and finals round on Saturday, December 30th. It will no longer be held at half time of the finals game.
Today and tomorrow, the Boys JV & Varsity Lake Hawks Basketball teams will host the annual Holiday Basketball Tournament. Tickets for adults $5/day or $8 for both days, students and Senior citizens $3/day or $5 for both days.
