Today, WGES 4th-6th grade students participated in classroom lessons with School Resource Officers from across the state. The officers have been attending the New York State DARE Officer's Association certification training at the Montour Falls Fire Department. DARE is an international K-12 curriculum that is delivered to students in schools by Police Officers. Thank you for visiting WGES! #WGProud #SOARLakeHawks

The Lady Lake Hawks will be heading back to TC3 this Saturday for the Section Finals! The school will be providing a Spectator bus, community spectators will require a security check through our raptor system prior to leaving. There is a fee of $5 per person and there must be at least 10 riders for the bus to travel. If you are interested in riding along, please contact the High School Main office to get on the list and perform the security check over the phone 607-535-3210. Payment can be taken on Saturday upon entering the bus, which will leave from the field house at 12:30pm and estimated return time is 4:45pm. There we will concessions at the game. KIDS NIGHT OUT & A PARENT'S NIGHT OFF EVENT All K-6th graders are welcome to come and join in the fun at the WG Field House 5:30 to 7:30pm. $10 per child WGHS Yearbook club has created this event to have fun and get kids involved together. Games, Music and Snacks provided!

What an exciting day our Pre-K- through 6th graders will have today. In celebration of 2024 Leap Year and the Earth's time to orbit around the sun, 45 frogs have been placed throughout the Elementary School. Each grade level must be on the lookout for their own special-colored frogs for the grand prize.... A grade level Pizza Party! Good luck to all grades and Happy Leap Year!

Each year Rotary sponsors the Rotary Oratory Competition. This year, Kendra Fish and Savie Purpura participated regionally. Savie placed first and will go on to the finals at FLCC. #WGPROUD #SOARLakeHawks

Good luck to Vey Cowan from the Lake Hawks Girls Bowling team as she heads to Valley Bowling Center in Waverly on Friday, for the Section IV State Qualifiers. Her total averaged season scores placed 5th in the IAC's overall and moved her onto the next level. Bowling Match starts at 9am Lake Hawk Bowlers ended their season this past weekend with the girls bowling team placing 10th at the Sectional Championship this past Saturday, while the boys bowling team came in 11th place, Friday.
