Best of luck to our Drone Soccer Team this weekend as they head off to National Championships Tournament in Rome, NY!!
Our team is one of the youngest teams playing in the National Championships! This is quite an amazing feat being our first year as a New Club!
The team is mostly 6th grade students, with one eighth grader and one junior, these kids have had an outstanding ranking all through their winter season.

The Watkins Glen Drone Soccer team is flying high! This weekend (May 2–3), they’ll compete in the U.S. Drone Soccer 2025 National Championship at the SkyDome, Griffiss International Airport in Rome, NY — a prestigious event featuring the top 24 teams from across the nation.
In just their first year, our team launched in September, battled through double-elimination tournaments from October through February, earned entry into US Drone Soccer Division II Championship in March which led to a wild card entry to Nationals — now they're headed to the big stage!
The stakes are sky-high: the winning team will be crowned Team USA and go on to represent the country at the FAI World Drone Soccer Championship in Shanghai, China this November.
Competition kicks off at 2 PM on May 2 and wraps up with an awards ceremony at 4 PM on May 3.

The 20th Annual 1st Heritage "Everyday Heros" recognition, honoring students from 19 Twin Tiers high schools and 70 students who were given this award for three key factors:
Community Involvement, Kindness to fellow students & mentoring fellow students.

Our Administrative Professionals make us #WGProud
PE & ACE Health Teacher, Courtney Foss and her Wellness Club partnered up with the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center promoting the Tobacco-Free Initiative. The Club is directing their efforts towards reducing tobacco consumption. Their partnership has brought together a leading cancer research institution and the local school to make a lasting impact on both public health and the environment.
The Wellness Club, yesterday for Earth Day, incorporated a public health project of cleaning up discarded cigarette butts that will get analyzed by the center to gain insight into the prevalence of tobacco use and to help in support ongoing cancer prevention research.
The students walked the Catherine Valley Trail and WG school campus collecting discarded trash along their cleanup path.

Congratulations to Notre Dame Junior, Finn Schweizer, teammate of the WGND Varsity Lacrosse team. Finn was selected for this week's Twin Tiers "Athlete of the Week" for making a play that produced his 200th Career goal. Way To Go!!!
WG Freshman, Paige Ells, Varsity Storm softball was also in last week's list of nominees for the Twin Tiers "Athlete of the Week." Instead, Paige was selected for ESPN Ithaca's "Athlete of the Week"
