Student Schedule Update

Dear WGHS Families,

I hope this message finds you well! Despite the challenges the re-opening of school has presented, we are eager to get our students back on campus.

By now, many of you have begun the process of filling out our yearly forms and updates in Final Forms.  If you have not started this process, please do. All forms must be signed in Final Forms by the first day of school.

This week you will be receiving a letter from WGHS. Enclosed you will find the following:

  • A copy of your child’s schedule in the traditional 9 period format
  • A blank copy of our hybrid schedule for you and your child to fill-in
  • An explanation of our hybrid schedule

I understand this process will be complicated and a bit confusing. However, please know that we are here to help. To accompany the schedule, I will be emailing a link to a video on how to interpret and input the traditional schedule into the hybrid schedule. We will also have hybrid student schedules printed and ready on the first day of school.

If you have any questions regarding your child’s coursework and schedule, please reach out to his or her school counselor. Mrs. Simiele (grades 10-12) can be reached via email at msimiele@wgcsd.org and Mr. Berglund (grades 7-9) can be reached at eberglund@wgcsd.org.  Please do not panic if you notice and error. Contact the appropriate counselor, and we will adjust as soon as possible. We ask that you follow the enclosed schedule until a new schedule is printed.

As a reminder, the week of school is as follows:

  • September 8th - B-1 Day for the Blue Group on-site/Maroon Group Remote
  • September 9thNo School for students remote or on-site
  • September 10thNo School for students remote or on-site
  • September 11th – D-1 Day for the Maroon Group on-site/Blue Group Remote
  • September 14th – D-2 Day for the Blue Group on-site/Maroon Group Remote

Please be on the lookout for more communication from me regarding student drop-off and pick-up.

Again, please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions.

Respectfully,

Kai D’Alleva, Principal WGHS
