Update: This was a challenging week regarding infections. After 18 days of school, we have moved near 20 positive cases district wide.

If your child is out of school as a result of being in COVID-19 protocol (including awaiting a PCR test), our expectation is that students utilize Schoology to receive their lessons asynchronously. If you need assistance accessing your child’s work, please reach out to the teacher directly. If you need a hotspot to be able to complete this work, please contact your student’s main office, the student help desk (607-535-3203), or email  studenthelpdesk@wgcsd.org.

Please know that if your child is cleared to come back to school after school hours, your child will not be taken off the active list until after 7:35AM the following day. Our health office monitors our database between the hours of 7:35 and 2:35. If you forward paperwork to the Health Office after 2:35PM, we will not get to it until the following morning. Therefore, transportation will not be able to pick your child up until the clearance is processed by the Health Office.

According to the CDC and local public health officials, proper mask wearing, and vaccination remain the two most significant strategies you can implement to limit quarantines and the further spread of infections.

As a reminder, both Health Offices have access to rapid tests for those families that are interested or in need. Parent consent is required for all students under the age of 18.

Please know that if your child has been directly impacted by a positive case, you will be informed by a member of the Administrative Team, a designee, or the appropriate Health Office.

As always, thank you for your continued support and cooperation!

Have a great weekend!

Go Senecas!
